Before I found the clarinet I played saz amongst some other instruments, mostly percussive. I spent hours and hours trying to master this Turkish lute and even adapted my own semi-acoustic saz with a custom bridge (with a jawari) which creates unique overtones, and a Rickenbacker inspired pick guard with custom jazz pickups.
Out of all the hours of material two recordings are left worth sharing: Ardiyya and Seyyah.
